We carry our birthplace, Porto, in our name, and this beautiful Portuguese town continues to inspire Claus Porto’s creations. Indeed, the biscuit porcelain vessels that hold our candles bear a distinctive, textured Diamond pattern, drawn from the motifs found in Portuguese architecture. When the candle is lit, the Diamond design creates a soft, shadowy glow from the translucent porcelain, as the candle’s fragrance envelopes the room. Drawing on 130 years of heritage in the beauty and fragrance world, our fragrances are created by renowned perfumers using the finest raw materials, to conjure up a unique olfactory experience.
In order to get the most out of your candle, make sure that the entire surface liquefies during the first burn. This will help your candle to burn evenly. If the flame is too small, carefully pour out the liquefied wax. Keep the wick clean and remove the bulb after burning. The wick may occasionally need to be repositioned to the candle’s centre. If so, gently readjust it to its correct position when the wax is still molten. Allow the candle to re-solidify before lighting it again. If black smoke appears, trim the wick. The smoke should be clean and the wick no longer than 6 mm at all times. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
